So, this is the 5th. Year in a row I am using a dairy to keep track of my calender schedules and other important stuffs . Although I am not a very busy person to fill all the half hour slots from morning till evening, I grew this habit a few years back so that I can use my fountain pens sometimes during the day . I will have to again start writing letters using my fountain pens from 2023 to my friends and post the letters in snail mails .
In addition to the fountain pens and diary , I have also started wearing different brand wrist watches . Although they are not very costly but I am often very tempted to buy costly watches and fountain pens when I see them in the shops.
I can spend hours in a fountain pen and a watch shop rather than buying clothes for myself .
One of the reasons I’m finding fountain pens far more satisfying than watches is that there is more functionality and artistry to their usage. Certainly, a watch has both, but the functionality is limited in that everyone has a cell-phone, and the artistry is limited to the piece itself–not what you do with it (write and/or draw). Plus, there’s a strong element of luxury and snobbery that is present in watch collecting, that–while present in the fountain pen world–isn’t quite as palpable, or at least more easily avoided.
