Receiving the “Artist of the Year Award 2026 “ from the Office of Multicultural Interests and The Western Australian Multicultural Awards Department , WA means more to me than words can express. I am Honoured. Grateful. Inspired !
As an artist shaped by multicultural experiences, this recognition is deeply personal.
I sincerely thank my family for being my strength when things were uncertain and belief in me been the quiet force and of course our ex fur baby , Indy, who may not have understood awards but helped me to take a pause and enjoy simple moments .
I wish to dedicate this award to all my students of ” Academy Of Indian Classical and Bollywood Dance ” , their families ,performers from different CaLD communities who have associated with me and my academy , all multicultural organisations , their leaders and members , my friends , well wishes, who have supported and encouraged me along the way. Their belief in what we do makes achievements like this possible.
This award is not just mine — it belongs to every artist who dares to share their culture, their voice, and their truth with the world.
