Happy birthday to my lad

While I could write a novel about our experiences as parents with this boy and how it has largely made us into the persons we are today, I will spare you the soliloquy.
Congrats on turning 19, my hero!
The day started with a visit to the local temple to worship God, followed by his breakfast with friends, sumptuous lunch and fine dining at a restaurant at Matilda Bay.
It seems like a lot of time has passed, it’s true, but it also seems too fast. Yesterday you started taking your first steps, from today you expect to leave big footprints in life. Your journey to adulthood is so rapid; it feels as if you’re pushing us hard to the old age. We wish we can stop the clock to when you were just a little boy, holding on to our hands. But seeing how you turned to be a fine man, all we wish is for you to reach your dreams in life. You brought so much pride and happiness to us that we can now consider you the man of the house.
If we can say something about you, we would say you have been an incredible fellow who has portrayed excellent attitude. Now that you are 19, we can’t expect anything less.
Keep fulfilling your childhood dreams, live a happy life, and just enjoy everything.
I am confident that you were born to lead and I can’t wait to see what you do with your immense talent and unlimited potential. Please know that we love you with all of our hearts and will always be here for you, no matter what.
Our relationship with you is one of our most prized possessions.
