My first ukulele lesson…

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” ― Les Brown
Age is not a disease – it is strength and survivorship, triumph over all kinds of vicissitudes and disappointments, trials and illnesses.Let us know the happiness time brings, not count the years. Cherish all your happy moments, they make a fine cushion for old age. Life seems to go on without an effort when you have music by your side.
Today was my first class on Ukelele. It’s a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants from Madeira. It gained great popularity elsewhere in the United States during the early 20th century and from there spread internationally.
Hopefully I will be able to bend my wrists and reach the frets and enjoy singing along with stumming……
