In an Italian restaurant, the biggest challenge isn’t choosing the food—it’s pronouncing it well enough that the waiter doesn’t switch to English out of sympathy!
I spent five minutes practising ‘gnocchi’… then pointed at the menu anyway!
Waiter: “Would you like bruschetta?”
Me: “Yes… but only if I don’t have to pronounce it.”
Anyway had for drinks :
Negretti Langhe Nebbiolo D’Alba & Kìri Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
For mains we had :
Linguine alla Nerano & Chicken aglio olio peperoncino
That’s it ! We didn’t check the dessert menu .
